The next volunteer induction training starts on the 13th of November. Please contact Emily Radford for details. The Me2 Xmas party will be held on the 7th of December.

The Great British Duck Race

The Me2 Club is taking part in The Great British Duck Race.

On Sunday 2nd September 2007, up to 165,000 rubber ducks will be set free down a 1km stretch of the River Thames near Hampton Court Palace. In doing so, a new World Record and over £500,000 will be raised for UK charities.

Adopt a duck for just £2 (plus £3 to your chosen charity) and you could win the first prize of £10,000 or one of 30 other great prizes.

Children with special needs across Wokingham District were shouting with glee at their Christmas party this weekend.

Local charity nominated for Queens award in recognition of the voluntary service they offer the community.

"Celebrating the year of the volunteer, Jo Jolly, a Me2 Club volunteer received a bunch of flowers from the Chairman of Wokingham District Council, Ian Brown. Jo received the flowers in recognition of the time and commitment she gives to ensure the young lad she supports can join in and take part in cubs alongside other children."
